GODFREY, Ill. – Two more members are the latest to join the RiverBend Growth Association in recent weeks. They include ABS Workout Plans Personal Training Center and Scooter’s Coffee.

Headquartered in Godfrey, ABS Workout Plans Personal Training Center Owner Abigail Kreitner-Thurman noted that she was joining the RBGA to be part of the community, to help people, and to learn from other businesses.

“I hope to grow as a person and in my business,” she added. “I want to be open-minded to learning from others in our community.”

Programs offered by Kreitner-Thurman’s health and fitness service include online fitness coaching, personal and group training, as well as nutrition-only coaching and workout-only plans. And if just a place to start is needed, ABS Workout Plans also offers a “phone call only” service, which is a one-time phone call to go over nutrition goals and set up a plan that can truly work for the individual.

ABS Workout Plans provides “the best and most realistic approach to anyone’s health journey,” Kreitner-Thurman said. “We are here to help, whether it be workouts, accountability, generalized nutrition, or personal training. We want to give you the best experience. No matter where you are in life, there is never a bad time to start your fitness journey.”

ABS Workout Plans will soon open its in-person facility on Godfrey Road. For more, visit online at https://absworkoutplans.com/, call (618) 530-8407, or follow them on Facebook and Instagram.

Scooter’s Coffee has positioned itself in Godfrey at 5330 Godfrey Road, once the site of a former private residence. Robert Semptimphelter, Jr. is the franchise owner.

“We believe in making local connections within the business community,” Semptimphelter noted, “and we are looking forward to supporting the residents of Godfrey while also having a positive impact on the community.”

“By joining the RBGA, we are looking to make local networking connections, looking for ways to give back to the community, increase exposure, and access other resources provided by the chamber,” he added.

With each location locally owned and operated, Scooter’s Coffee in Godfrey is part of the national franchise of over 550 locations in 26 states. It roasts “only the finest coffee beans in the world” at its headquarters in Omaha, Neb.

In 1998, Scooter’s Coffee was born when co-founders Don and Linda Eckles began their journey by opening its first drive-thru coffeehouse in Bellevue, Neb. Now in its 25th year, Scooter’s Coffee has continued success due to its commitment to its original business principles and company core values.

Noting the Caramelicious as the coffeehouse chain’s signature drink, the Scooter’s Coffee website also explains the story behind the name: “The very first Scooter’s Coffee location was known as ‘Scooter’s Java Express.’ We named it ‘Scooter’s’ after reviewing a list of options including ‘Scooter.’ The name fit well with our mission to keep customers happy by helping them ‘scoot in and scoot out’ quickly.”
